Chestnut yurt is situated in a corner of Shopland Hall where we hope to provide a comfortable glamping experience.

Horses graze the surrounding fields with riders exercising the horses.

We are in the countryside yet only 5 minutes from Southend's seafront with beaches and a long pier to walk.

Head south for a short walk across the adjacent golf course to find a Waitrose store plus several other large shops

Near by RSPB Wallasea Island is a magical landscape of marshland, lagoons, ditches and sea. Walk along the seawalls to see the saltmarsh, mudflats and lagoons created to attract over wintering waders, wildfowl and in the summer nesting birds such as avocets, little ringed plovers and hopefully black-winged stilts.

We are on a network of footpaths all within a mile of a sea wall along the river Roach.

Southend has a large shopping area with out of town superstores close by. Rochford with its market square and Tuesday market is a more leisurely shop.

Many pubs, restaurants and 'Take Aways' in the area provide diverse opportunity to dine out or eat in.
